Summer 2004 Schedule and Registration

Pre-School Dance (age 3 years)                          Saturday, 10-10:45 am

The first step for the young dancer in learning movement. Class consists of pre-ballet combined with age appropriate motor skill games. Classes are fun and filled with imagery, make-believe, and story telling combined with music and rhythm. Excellent for all children who love to move!

Fee: $110 for a 10-class card. Single class: $12.

Creative Movement Workshops (ages 4-5 years)

Monday – Friday, July 19 – 23, 9 – 12 Noon

Monday – Friday, August 2 – 6, 9 – 12 Noon

May enroll in either week or for the full 2-week session.

A non-competitive environment in which children learn and practice movement skills. Through the practice of creative movement, children become more aware of how their bodies move and the relationship between dance, art, music, and story telling. Movement skills developed are useful in a variety of physical activities, including dance, balance, and athletics.
Fee: $150 per week, or $280 for 2 weeks.

Creative Movement (ages 4-5 yrs)                  Saturday, 11 – 11:45 am

Fee: $110 for a 10-class card. Single class: $12

Tech I Ballet (ages 6 – 7 yrs)                         Saturday, 12 – 1 pm

Continuation of Creative Movement in a more structured class.
Fee: $110 for a 10-class card. Single class: $12.

Tech IV Ballet (ages 10 – 12)                       Tuesday, 4 – 5:30 pm

A dance training program preparatory to pointe work.
Fee: $130 for a 10-class card. Single class: $15.

Ballet (Basic)                                                    Monday & Wednesday, 7:30 – 9 pm

A slower-paced class for those who know the fundamentals of ballet. Not a beginner class.
Fee: $130 for a 10-class card. Single class: $15.

Ballet (Intermediate)                                        Monday – Friday, 5:45 – 7:15 pm

A challenging, faster-paced class for those comfortable with ballet fundamentals. Emphasis on musicality and technique. Fee: $130 for a 10-class card. Single class: $15.

Modern Dance                                         July & August, times TBA

Emphasis on technique combined with progressive center, across the floor, and dance combinations. Ballet background strongly recommended.
Fee: $130 for a 10-class card. Single class: $15.

Private Instruction.                                         Multiple Levels of Training

For beginners, those returning to dance after a long hiatus, through those seeking to challenge already strong levels of skill. Fee: $60/hr
